The secret of sales success: the trinity of business

At the recent ILF collaboration event we explored a popular business success theory invented by my old friend Ernesto Sirolli who proposes that there are a minimum of 3 roles needed in successful business:
  1. Making (Operations)
  2. Marketing & Sales
  3. Money (Financial Management)
These roles 3 must be filled with people who are passionate and excellent and the bug challenge for owner-manager businesses is no one person can play all three effectively.  Designer/makers are squarely in the first category - this, in itself,  is the most compelling reason why West Midland's designer/makers need to be in collaborative networks!
